The company has successfully obtained the SIL 3 product function safety certificate.

Recently, the fluid control technology Co., Ltd. has successfully obtained SIL 3 product function safety certificate. The acquisition of this certificate reflects that the product quality of the company has met the international safety standards, and the SIL3 safety integrity level has passed, indicating that the company's products have reached the highest safety requirements for instrumentation products in the petrochemical process production process.

What is SIL authentication? SIL (Safety Integrity Level) is referred to as safety integrity level certification. SIL technical standards were first promulgated and formulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). SIL certification is a third-party evaluation, verification and certification based on IEC 61508 (GB/T 20438), IEC 61511 (GB/T 21109), IEC 61513, IEC 13849-1, IEC 62061, IEC 61800-5-2 and other standards to evaluate and confirm the safety integrity level (SIL) or performance level (PL) of safety equipment. Functional safety certification mainly involves document management (FSM) evaluation for safety equipment development process, hardware reliability calculation and evaluation, software evaluation, environmental test, EMC electromagnetic compatibility test and so on.

IEC61508 classifies SILs into four levels: SIL1, SIL2, SIL3 and SIL4. The level of SIL in security-related systems is derived from risk analysis, which is a combination of four factors: the severity of risk consequences, the time and frequency of risk exposure, the probability of unavoidable risk and the probability of unexpected events. The higher the grade, the lower the risk failure probability.

In modern industrial production process, because of complex equipment and complex technology, the whole control system is required not to allow any safety weaknesses. Once the process valves and meters in the system are abnormal (failure), it may cause the failure of the control system and equipment parking, such as fire and explosion in chemical plants, which will cause disastrous consequences for personnel, equipment and environment. In recent years, many explosions in domestic petrochemical industry have put forward a higher requirement for the safety performance of petrochemical instruments. If a project, a system or a product is certified as functionally safe, then customer confidence can be enhanced.
